Biography
Ron has been playing music since his grandfather, August Frisch, began teaching him piano at the age of 7. Ron has turned his faith, his years of musical experience and his grandfather’s example as a teacher and role-model into a passion for playing, creating, teaching, and sharing music with others, especially children, to glorify God. Ron plays several instruments for our worship services, writes musical arrangements for our choir, and teaches free piano lessons as part of the CARE program
Ron also directs and oversees the CARE program which offers 3 ten-week sessions of free classes in arts and crafts, dance, drama, culinary arts (cooking)and more. For more information, go the the CARE website at www.carepittsburgh.com
Ron began playing for his home church, Crafton UP, in 1994 and became the organist of Emanuel UMC in February 1998! He is married to Patti and they have two children, Augie (3) and Becca (1).
