Rev. Stephanie came to Emanuel as Pastor in 2009. She is a graduate of George Washington University and Wesley Theological Seminary, both located in Washington, D.C. An ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, she was raised first in the Presbyterian church and then in a Methodist church by Christian parents. She says, “When I was a teenager, my grandfather died. As I was grieving, praying, even questioning, I felt God’s presence in a powerful and real way. Since then I have trusted God as my God and tried to grow in allowing Jesus to be Lord of my life.” ...more
