Stephanie came to Emanuel as Pastor in 2009. She is a graduate of George Washington University and Wesley Theological Seminary, both located in Washington, D.C. An ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, she was raised first in the Presbyterian church and then in a Methodist church by Christian parents. She says, “When I was a teenager, my grandfather died. As I was grieving, praying, even questioning, I felt God’s presence in a powerful and real way. Ron has been playing music since his grandfather, August Frisch, began teaching him piano at the age of 7. Ron has turned his faith, his years of musical experience and his grandfather’s example as a teacher and role-model into a passion for playing, creating, teaching, and sharing music with others, especially children, to glorify God. Ron plays several instruments for our worship services, writes musical arrangements for our choir, and teaches free piano lessons as part of the CARE program
